Job summary

Lantern Community Services in Brooklyn, NY seeks an Assistant Program Director to provide clinical supervision and day-to-day administrative oversight at Hunterfly Trace. Working with the Program Director, you will develop the clinical skills of the team, ensure quality service delivery, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in a supportive housing setting.

The ideal candidate holds an MSW or MHC, with LMSW/LMHC within a year, and at least one year of supervisory experience

Qualifications

• MSW or MHC degree required; LMSW/LMHC within one year of employment.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience in social services.
• Knowledge of mental health, substance use, and chronically homeless populations.
• Experience with DOHMH-funded contracts and funder regulations.
• Strong trauma-informed engagement, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and professional development support to case management staff.
• Review dashboards and monthly reports with staff to track outcomes and accountability.
• Review case documentation; conduct internal chart reviews and ensure high standards of care.
• Review treatment plans, safety planning, and crisis response.
• Prepare, review, and manage follow-up on incident reports and funder reporting.
• Hire and train new staff; manage day-to-day program management in collaboration with others.
