Our Residential department is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Director to join our team at one of our Topsfield homes.
Schedule: Monday 7 am - 3 pm, Tuesday 9 am - 5 pm, Wednesday 7 am - 3 pm, Thursday 9 am - 5 pm, and Friday 7 am - 3 pm.
Pay Rate: $27.00 to $27.50 with MAPs.
Job Summary: To provide quality living supports and be responsive to individuals and staff at all times. Teach, support, and facilitate choices for people in their homes and communities. Assist with the day-to-day operation of the home.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing, grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
- Document accurately and thoroughly, including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books, and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures.
- Provide individuals with opportunities for growth, including learning new skills and increasing independence.
- Participate in Supervision, Staff Meetings, QAs, and other meetings/trainings as deemed necessary.
- Ensure self and staff have the required trainings. Assist in training DSPs on house systems and individual needs, including providing on-site supervision and support.
- Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations.
- Support doctor appointments, ER, and hospital visits, and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
- Maintain the home and agency vehicles through seasonal maintenance, routine cleaning, and immediate reporting of issues or concerns.
- Complete ISP documentation, incident reports, and other necessary documentation in accordance with Northeast Policies and Procedures and funding Regulations.
- Maintain and review records for individual and house bank accounts, and assist with Rep Payee and entitlement paperwork as assigned.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed. Report critical issues immediately and complete required documentation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Associates or Bachelor's in relevant field preferred.
- Prior experience in a direct support role working with individuals with disabilities.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
