Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a program manager to oversee homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services for qualifying Veteran families. You will supervise staff, ensure service quality, and align operations with CARF and federal standards.

Strong leadership and trauma-informed practices are essential. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing multiple SSVF services, data accuracy, and continuous quality improvement in collaboration with the Program Director.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience and ability to manage a team of staff.
  • Crucial conversations and provide feedback on employee performance.
  • Knowledge of case management best practices including trauma-informed care and person-first approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and client management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight to staff, ensuring high-quality services are provided using the Housing First model.
  • Assist in oversight of additional SSVF services including Shallow Subsidy, Health Care Navigation and Legal Services.
  • Complete case record reviews to ensure quality and compliance with CARF and federal standards.
  • Collaborate with Program Director on developing Continuous Quality Improvement outcomes and ensure program sites meet these outcomes.
  • Ensure program sites are in compliance with SSVF grant and CARF accreditation standards.
  • Review for accuracy and approve all temporary financial assistance requests.
  • Review for accuracy and approve case certifications and ensure client data is accurately entered into Service Point.
  • Oversee program operations and outcomes of all program activities to ensure objectives are met.
  • Oversee PV policies and CM Guide are updated and in compliance.
  • Represents PV program in community meetings.
  • Ensure program operations, data and reports are accurate.
  • Provide staff support for crisis interventions and client concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills

Proven supervisory experience and ability to manage a team of staff

Able to have crucial conversations and provide feedback on employee performance

Knowledge of case management best practices, including trauma-informed care and person-first approach

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite and Client Management System

Able to work as team member

Knowledge of federal, state and local veteran and military family programs preferred

Education/Experience

Master’s degree in a social work, counseling or social service-service related field

Licensed preferred

Minimum five years’ relevant professional work experience including supervisory and program management experience.

Military experience preferred

Working Conditions

Services are provided in office, in the community, and in client homes

Requirements

Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to be insured by UWCA’s insurance

Valid driver’s license

Reliable transportation

Proof of automobile insurance commensurate with State law
