Assistant Program Director - Latency Age Group Home

Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. is hiring a full-time Assistant Program Director for their latency-age group home. This person will be responsible for the effective day-to-day functioning of the residential group home.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provide supervision to Residential Supervisors and Lead Residential Counselors.
  2. Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise residential staff.
  3. Implement and monitor treatment plans; gather feedback, compile data, and present findings at meetings with suggestions when appropriate.
  4. Collaborate with the Program Nurse for medical care, scheduling appointments, transportation, and documentation.
  5. Coordinate with the Program Director and clinical team on treatment planning and family visits, including transportation arrangements.
  6. Provide on-call coverage as required by the Program Director.
  7. Manage staff schedules to maintain appropriate staff-to-client ratios.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements include:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience of at least five years.
  2. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  3. Knowledge of non-profit administration and child protective systems.
  4. Reliable transportation.
  5. Background checks including CORI, DCF, and driving records.
  6. Knowledge of state regulations regarding restraints and holds.
  7. Minimum age of 21 years old.
