Description

As an Assistant Program Director (APD), you will assist the Program Director (PD) in managing the clinical, financial, and administrative operations of one or more day programs or day habilitation programs that provide support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries and behavioral health challenges. In your role, you will work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by building independence skills or increasing each person's quality of life.

APDs ensure proper standards and regulations set forth by funding sources are adhered to, and that quality standards for the individuals in the Day Programs are being met. Additional responsibilities include managing staff, developing relationships with community members, and liaising with clinical and nursing teams to develop and manage clients' Individual Action Plans (IAP).

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred. Experience may substitute for education in some cases.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in human services, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Must obtain CPR, First Aid, MAC, and Safety Care certifications within mandated timelines; training provided upon hire.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months, and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Must pass background checks including CORI, SORI, employment, education, and driving record checks.
