Position Overview

COPE OF ROLE :

The Assistant Program Director will supervise Case Management services to ensure quality care for adults experiencing Homelessness and Mental Illness. In the absence of the Program Director, they will oversee all program staff alongside the Regional Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, and agency policies, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Familiarity with OMH regulations.
  • Supervise all program staff regarding Case Management.
  • Develop and implement individual service plans with clinical staff, counseling team, and residents.
  • Manage shift-to-shift resident census.
  • Ensure staff are trained for medication room duties.
  • Support Program Director in shift coverage and fill-in as needed.
  • Align client contracts with service plan goals and assist counselors with intervention planning.
  • Coordinate annual functional assessments and submit reports to the Utilization Review Committee.
  • Maintain contact with service agencies and coordinate client placements and program activities.
  • Coordinate resident orientation with SPA Department.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Provide emergency and relief coverage as needed.
  • Represent the agency in community groups and agencies.
  • Report to Regional and VP of Behavioral Health Services, including issues and policy suggestions.
  • Conduct supervisory meetings and document them.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with homeless and mentally ill populations.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree and professional license (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC) preferred.
  • Experience with diverse populations.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Behavior Tech Training preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Windows).
