Job summary

The role includes supervising practicum-based courses, mentoring Cooperating Teachers, and supporting student readiness for careers in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Studies, Human Services, or related field with 12 ECE credits.
  • Licensure in Early Childhood Education PreK-3 or Birth-Grade 3 preferred.
  • Experience coordinating practicum and field placements.
  • Experience teaching online and/or campus-based higher education.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards, assessment design, and data-driven program evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee field experience courses and practicum designs for AS and BS programs.
  • Provide leadership to faculty teaching practicum-based courses and ensure alignment with outcomes.
  • Cultivate partnerships with schools and community early childhood centers for student placements.
  • Ensure practicum site approvals and placement logistics align with program needs.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to analyze assessments for accreditation and program improvement.
