Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geography, Political Science/Government, or History.
• Successful academic classroom teaching experience in Geography, World History, or Government/Political Science.
• Ability to apply innovative instructional approaches to achieve course objectives and student learning outcomes.
• Experience with technology and software in college-level social science classes.
• Commitment to continuous professional improvement.
• Ability to collaborate and work collegially with faculty from all disciplines.
• Demonstrated interest in inclusive pedagogies and high impact practices to foster student success.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Geography, Government, and World History.
• Apply current discipline standards and practices in the classroom.
• Develop student-centered instructional methods for diverse learners.
• Develop instructional materials aligned with learning outcomes.
• Develop and apply assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes.
• Incorporate technology in and out of the classroom.
• Integrate high-impact practices like learning communities and undergraduate research.
• Participate in curriculum review, assessment, and department/college activities.
• Advise students majoring in History, Politics, and Global Studies.
