Job description

Position Description
The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension within the Department of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor Term (open rank) specializing in transplant nephrology. As a transplant nephrologist, your role will be to engage in all three missions of academic medicine - teaching, research, and patient care.

A successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. Train nephrology fellows, residents, and medical students, providing them with a thorough understanding of the renal system and the transplant process.
  2. Collaborate on research related to clinical trials to ensure nephrology fellows are engaged in the clinical trial research arena.

The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in nephrology with advanced training in transplant nephrology and hold a valid Kentucky medical license. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
