Description:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Basic and translational research related to the biology of complex vascular anomalies. Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D. degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and research training of medical students, graduate students, residents, medical fellows in pediatric hematology/oncology or other disciplines, and post-doctoral fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include serving as attending physician participating in the inpatient and outpatient care of children, adolescents and young adults with complex vascular anomalies.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include directing an independent NIH-funded research program focused on basic and translational research in vascular biology, experimental modeling, or other areas directly relevant to complex vascular anomalies. Candidates should have a track record of successful extramural funding.
