Lynn University in Durham, North Carolina, is looking for an Assistant Professor of Technical Theater. This role requires a strong background in scenic design, set-building, and production management.
The successful candidate will lead productions, mentor students, and participate actively in recruitment. Additional knowledge in lighting design and audio systems is preferred. This position supports the Drama Program with a focus on student development and operational compliance.
Lynn University seeks an Assistant Professor of Technical Theater with a strong background as a performing arts technical director for the Drama Program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Applicants must have focus and the understanding of scenic design, set‑building, and theatrical production management procedures, and protocols. Bonus areas for the applicant in one or more of the following disciplines: lighting design, lighting consoles, and related software; experience with proper audio systems procedures, practices, and related software; All applicants should also have knowledge of theater rigging and standard practices.
