Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or closely related field.
• Strong research beyond Ph.D. with demonstrated impact.
• Interest in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Mentoring and training graduate students.
• At least one year of post-doctoral experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead an interdisciplinary research group in structural biochemistry and related areas.
• Collaborate across UC San Diego departments and facilities (cryo-EM, X-Ray, NMR, Mass Spec).
• Teach biochemistry, chemical biology, and related topics at undergraduate and graduate levels.
