FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Lehman College School of Education seeks an Assistant Professor of Special Education (Tenure-Track) in the Department of Counseling, Leadership, Literacy & Special Education. The candidate will teach CAEP-accredited M.S. Ed. programs at the early childhood, childhood, and adolescent levels, focusing on bilingualism, special needs, and disability understanding. The candidate will conduct research, publish in refereed journals, and present research findings at academic conferences. The position requires program coordination of special education programs and participation in services to the department and college.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph. D. in Special Education or related field. The candidate must have a developed research agenda and demonstrated record in research and publication. Experience with economically, culturally, and linguistically diverse populations, and experience with online teaching and digital technology to enhance teaching and learning. Knowledge and skills with CAEP standards at the master’s level. Expertise in Inclusive Education/Special Education/Teaching Education/Qualitative Studies/Bilingual Special Education is desirable.

COMPENSATION

$90,375
