Job summary

UT MD Anderson seeks an Assistant Professor (RFA) to lead cutting-edge spatial omics research in cancer biology and translational oncology. You will drive independent and collaborative high-impact studies, publish influential work, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.

The role includes mentorship of students and trainees, development of new research initiatives, and participation in seminars and program planning within a hybrid onsite/remote environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate-level degree in field appropriate to faculty role and/or department mission.
• At least 2 years as postdoctoral fellow or Instructor, required or equivalent time as a basic scientist.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership in spatial omics research and drive programmatic growth.
• Establish and sustain multidisciplinary collaborations to advance translational and discovery-based research initiatives.
• Mentor students and trainees and participate in seminars, workshops and scientific events.
• Participate in collaborative research planning and strategic program development.
