Job summary

San Diego State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Secure Hardware Systems with an expected Fall 2027 start. The appointment will be in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department and affiliated with the Cybersecurity Research and Education Center (CCRE).

The center investigates hardware security, trusted hardware, side-channel and fault attacks, cryptographic hardware, and related areas.

Qualifications

• Develop a vigorous and independent program of research in secure hardware systems.
• Teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses.
• Demonstrate inclusive excellence in research and service.
• PhD by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a program of research in secure hardware systems.
• Teach and mentor students at graduate and undergraduate levels.
• Contribute to service and scholarly activities within SDSU.
