Job summary

The Quantitative Methodology: Measurement and Statistics (QMMS) program in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology (HDQM) in the College of Education at the University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level starting August 2027.

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate or PhD by start date.
  • Strong background in quantitative methods in education, social, behavioral, and/or biological sciences.
  • Evidence of outstanding scholarly research.
  • Ability to collaborate on research projects.

Responsibilities

  • Continue an advanced line of methodological research.
  • Teach QMMS graduate statistics and measurement courses.
  • Develop new programs and coursework.
  • Advise master’s and doctoral students.
  • Engage in service to the university and the profession at state, national, and international levels.
  • Secure and administer external contracts and grants.
