Job description

The Department of Psychology at Stanford University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, with a research focus on developmental and/or social psychology. In addition to other qualities, the Stanford Psychology Department values transparency and openness in science. We encourage candidates to provide in their research statement a description of how these values are reflected in their work to date and their future research plans. Applicants should describe in their statement their philosophy and preparation to teach courses and mentor students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or in a related field and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The salary range for this position is $133,235 - $143,916 for the academic year 2026-2027.
