The Texas A&M University College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in Theatrical Production Management and Research within the Dance, Music, and Theatre Performance section, starting August 1, 2027.

The candidate will lead a nationally and internationally visible program focused on production management in interdisciplinary, virtual/hybrid contexts.

Formación

• MFA or PhD in Production Management, Stage Management, Sound Design, Projection/Media Design, or related field.
• ABD welcome; progress toward completion acceptable.
• Potential to establish nationally and internationally recognized research/creative practice in production management.
• Experience in traditional theatrical production and collaborative work.
• Engagement with digital/technological, collaborative, or interdisciplinary approaches to producing.

Responsabilidades

• Establish a nationally and internationally visible program of research and/or creative practice in production management, including digital, collaborative, and technological dimensions.
• Pursue external funding to support this agenda (e.g., NEA, NEH, foundations, or industry partnerships).
• Disseminate work through exhibitions, performances, publications, presentations, software systems, patents, or other scholarly outcomes.
• Contribute production-management expertise to PVFA's theatre curriculum and season, mentoring graduates/undergraduates.
• Build interdisciplinary partnerships extending production-management research into visualization, data science, or technology domains.
• Contribute to section, college, and university service.
