A renowned educational institution is seeking an Assistant Professor for its Physician Assistant Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum, as well as providing instruction in public health and research methods. A relevant Master's Degree and experience in PA education are required, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with various stakeholders.

Daily Operations
• Developing, reviewing, and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program
• Selecting applicants for admission to the PA program
• Providing student instruction in public health, research methods, and the applied learning series
• Evaluation student performance
• Academic Advising / counseling of students
• Assuring the availability of remedial instruction
• Designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the clinical and didactic curriculum
• Evaluating the program
• Serves on PA Program Committees, Ad-hoc meetings, commencement, convocation
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
• Knowledge of and experience with PA or medical clinical education
• Excellent oral written and computer skills
• Ability to travel
• Knowledge of curriculum and course development
• Ability to network and interact professionally with students, faculty and staff, clinical sites, and preceptors
Required Education and Experience
• Relevant Master’s Degree in a science and/or health-related area from an accredited institution
• Experience in undergraduate or graduate education
• Preferences: Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Tennessee medical License or be eligible to apply for a Tennessee medical license, Experience in PA education
