Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy

We are currently seeking to fill our Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy position at the Generic Location campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

Job Title: Open Rank Faculty Position, Physical Therapy

Department: Physical Therapy

FLSA: Exempt

Location: Suwanee, GA

POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a 12-month, full-time appointment in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teaching in the professional DPT program in an area of expertise. Preferred candidates will be able to teach foundational science, applied science, and physical therapy management courses.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Additional responsibilities include teaching in other areas of expertise, student advising, scholarship, and service to the Department, College, and Community.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program and/or other PT degree with terminal doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, DHSc).

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Experience teaching in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience nurturing learning in a diverse environment.
  • Knowledge of information management and computer technology.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

Must be licensed or eligible for license in Georgia. ABPTS certification is preferred.
