Job summary

The Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, assistant professor position beginning Fall 2027. We seek a scholar with expertise in pediatric speech production, including speech sound disorders, childhood dysarthria, and childhood apraxia of speech.

Primary responsibilities include developing a program of extramurally funded research, teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, and serving the Department,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in speech sciences, communication sciences and disorders, or a closely related field by time of appointment.
• Research expertise in pediatric speech production.
• ASHA certification or other clinical training (preferred).
• Teaching experience at the college level (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop a program of extramurally funded research.
• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Serve the Department, College, University, profession, and community.
