We therefore encourage applications from candidates across any discipline whose work contributes to the development, translation, and/or application of innovative concepts, tools, or methodologies in any aspect of bioengineering. Within the applicant's chosen area, we will be looking for exceptional contributions, or compelling evidence of potential to achieve them. Please visit our website for more information about the Bioengineering Department at http://bioengineering.stanford.edu/.

A successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in Ph.D. research. Ideal candidates should also demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.
