This full-time, annually renewable, contract (non-tenure track) faculty appointment is available immediately and represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing and collaborative specialty service within one of the nation's leading academic veterinary medical centers.

This position is being recruited as part of a strategic investment in the continued growth of the Medical Imaging Service and the future development of advanced training opportunities within the program.

The University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center is one of the largest veterinary teaching hospitals in North America, serving more than 40,000 small animal patients annually and supporting a vibrant community of specialists, trainees, researchers, and referring veterinarians.
Faculty in Veterinary Medical Imaging work alongside specialists across 17 clinical disciplines and have access to advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, including cone beam CT, advanced imaging, radiation therapy, MRI, CT, and other state-of-the-art clinical resources.
The College of Veterinary Medicine is uniquely positioned within a major research university and offers extensive opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration across the Academic Health Center, including partnerships with the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, Pharmacy, and Nursing.

Work will be completed on the St. Paul Campus at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. In-person work is required for the clinical component of the position at the Veterinary Medical Center, largely during traditional Monday - Friday daytime hours. Didactic teaching is also done in person, though other aspects of the role may warrant flexibility for hybrid work.
This position is full-time, typically Monday - Friday daytime hours.

Required:
Candidates must possess a DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary degree and have completed, or be completing, residency training in Veterinary Surgery. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible through the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) (or equivalent) and be eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of Minnesota.
Teaching
Veterinary Clinical Sciences faculty members are responsible for a significant portion of the clinical training program for third- and fourth-year veterinary students, as well as small animal internship and residency programs. Faculty members also participate in the veterinary medicine and comparative and molecular biosciences graduate programs.
Research
Faculty and staff are actively involved in clinical and basic research, as well as specialized programs such as the Animal Cancer Care and Research program, Minnesota Urolith Center, and Surgical Research Laboratory. Research efforts are supported by the Clinical Investigation Center, which coordinates clinical trials.
Service and Outreach
Veterinary Clinical Sciences faculty members provide collaborative clinical services in the Veterinary Medical Center using cutting-edge equipment and offers consultations and continuing education programs for practicing veterinarians in the community.
Pay Range: $115,000-$212,000 annually, depending on education/qualifications/experience
