Job summary

The University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a non-tenure track assistant professor in Spanish and Language Education to begin August 2027 on the Edmond, Oklahoma campus. Qualifications

• An earned Ph.D. in Spanish or related field is required by time of appointment.
• Teaching experience in a K-12 setting is required for this position.
• Preference given to applicants with at least 3 years of K-12 experience

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours including elementary-level language courses, Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, and upper-level courses in language, literature, and cultural studies.
• Supervise teacher education candidates during student teaching and advise students on the Oral Proficiency Interview.
• Engage in service at the department, college, and university levels and maintain program of research, scholarship and/or creative activity.
