Concordia College in Moorhead, MN invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), three-year appointment as Assistant Professor of Spanish beginning August 2027. The teaching load is three four-credit courses per semester, with a mix of beginning, intermediate, and advanced courses in Spanish and French.

We seek a collaborative teacher-scholar committed to inclusive excellence, with a Ph.D. in Spanish/Hispanic Studies and native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, French, and English.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Spanish/Hispanic Studies; degree must be completed by 2027 for consideration.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, French, and English.
• Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for teaching language in lower-division courses.
• Experience teaching languages from an interdisciplinary perspective.
• Commitment to and experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach a mix of Spanish and French courses across levels (beginner to advanced).
• Collaborate with other programs and interdisciplinary initiatives as appropriate.
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovative course design.
• Engage in scholarship, service, and inclusive excellence initiatives.
