The Department of English at Concordia College (Moorhead, Minnesota) invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑eligible position in American Literature at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2027. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Indigenous, African‑American, Latinx, Global, or Environmental literature.

The successful candidate will teach literature courses at all levels of undergraduate work and our first‑year composition courses, with a three‑course load

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be qualified to teach literature courses at all levels of undergraduate work.
• The candidate will pursue an active research agenda and engage in curriculum development, revision, and evaluation.
• Institutional service including academic advising of undergraduate students after the first year.

Responsibilities

• Teach literature courses at all undergraduate levels and our first‑year composition courses.
• Maintain a three‑course teaching load per semester.
• Engage in ongoing scholarly research and contribute to curriculum development and evaluation.
