The Division of Neurosurgery at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and USC is seeking a scientist trained in translational cancer therapeutics and molecular biology for a full-time faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Research in Neurosurgery. The candidate will join a team of 5 clinical faculty members as a researcher.
The division is part of the Neurosciences Service Line (the Neurological Institute), which has been highlighted as a key service line. It is expanding its research portfolio, and a new integrated clinic space opened in Spring 2021. The goal is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered neurologic services.
The division aims to develop a cutting-edge research infrastructure to train future physician scientists and focus on translational studies addressing neurological diseases across diverse patient populations. The division actively recruits research-focused faculty to advance its scientific and clinical goals.
CHLA is a busy urban teaching hospital with a diverse pediatric patient population, offering outpatient clinics and subspecialty programs in neuro-oncology, craniofacial disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, brachial plexus, fetal surgery, and more. It has 495 beds, 18 operating rooms, 24 PICU beds, and 58 NICU beds, caring for children locally and globally.

The annual base salary range is $90,000-$100,000, with factors such as experience, education, skills, and market conditions considered in offers.
