Job summary

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston seeks an Assistant Professor-Clinical in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging to perform and interpret radiologic procedures in Breast Imaging for patients at UTHealth Houston and affiliated locations.

The candidate will provide imaging services (mammography, ultrasound, MRI), participate in teaching, clinical research, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives, and engage in service and collaboration with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• MD or Foreign Equivalent required.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Radiology.
• Texas Medical License or eligible to be licensed.
• ACGME accredited Radiology residency or 48 months of international equivalent.
• 12 months of fellowship training in Breast Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Provide imaging services in the Breast Imaging Section, performing mammograms, breast ultrasound, and MRI.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows; contribute to lectures and case conferences.
• Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly publications.

Assistant Professor, Clinical

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking an Assistant Professor-Clinical for the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. The candidate will perform and interpret radiologic procedures in the field of Breast Imaging for patients at McGovern Medical School, and our affiliated locations, including Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Hospital, HCA-The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, and outpatient imaging facilities in the Breast Imaging Section.

Responsibilities

Provide imaging services in the Breast Imaging Section, performing mammograms, breast ultrasound, and MRI. Clinical patient care, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational activities such as lectures and case conferences, and engaging in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly publications. Faculty are also expected to participate in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives, collaborate on practice development and operational planning.
