• Contribute to educational activities such as lectures and case conferences; engage in clinical research and quality improvement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives; assist in practice development and operational planning.

Job description

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking an Assistant Professor-Clinical for the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. The candidate will perform and interpret radiologic procedures in the field of Cardiothoracic Imaging for patients at McGovern Medical School and our affiliated locations, including Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Hospital, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas (HCA), and outpatient imaging facilities in the Cardiothoracic Imaging Section.

Position Key Accountabilities

High-volume imaging service; read and interpret cardiothoracic radiographs, thoracic CT, and cardiovascular CT and MRI exams. Interaction with referring physicians, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to educational activities such as lectures and case conferences, and engaging in clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly publications. Faculty are also expected to participate in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives, and collaborate on practice development and operational planning.

Qualifications
