The successful candidate will develop undergraduate courses and labs that bridge design, materials, manufacturing processes, and testing with real-world product realization.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
• Industry Experience: minimum of five years in aerospace, automotive, or related manufacturing industries focusing on manufacturing processes and process control.
• Teaching and Mentoring: proven teaching or mentoring experience; strong communication with a multidisciplinary student body.

Responsabilidades

• Curriculum Development and Instruction: develop and teach Product Realization courses with modern, digitally enabled fabrication technologies.
• Fundamentals of Manufacturing: cover machining, casting, molding, forming, joining, and additive manufacturing with cost/quality trade-offs.
• Digital Fabrication and Automation: Industry 4.0 concepts, IIoT, robotics, and digital twins in products and processes.
• AI and Data-Driven Process Control: apply statistical process control with machine learning for monitoring and predictive maintenance.
• Experiential Learning and Mentorship: oversee hands-on labs and design-build projects and industry-sponsored opportunities.
• Industry Collaboration: build partnerships with regional and national companies for internships and co-ops.
