Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following discipline: Art. Representative duties include instructing students in the assigned discipline and teaching courses during the day, evening, online, or at off-campus sites.

Minimum qualifications require a Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history, or a Bachelor’s plus Master’s in humanities, or equivalent, with diversity considerations noted.

Qualificações

• Must meet California Community Colleges minimum qualifications for faculty: Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in humanities OR equivalent.
• Note: MFA in fine arts refers to a Master’s in fine arts in the subject matter of visual arts; MFA in performing arts or other non-plastic arts is not covered.
• Equivalency to Antelope Valley College is not granted for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

(Applicant must meet one of the following requirements)

Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges: Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in humanities OR equivalent.

Note: Master’s in fine arts” as used here refers to any Master’s degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing, or other non-plastic arts.
