As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Assistant Professor of Practice - Computer Science - Part-Time to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by demonstrating academic excellence and the potential for distinctive contributions to the holistic development of students. Area of specialization is open, but candidates should be able to assist the department in one or more of the following areas: Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Programming Languages, Computer Architecture, Information Technology, and Database Systems. Professors of Practice will also facilitate relationships with their full-time employer for undergraduate project and internship opportunities. Appointments may begin as early as Fall 2023. Specific courses and academic terms to be determined by the Chair of Mathematical and Computational Sciences based on instructional need. Applicants with any level of Computer Science education, at least 5 years of work experience, and a passion for undergraduate teaching are invited to apply.
