Overview

The Department of History & Classics at Providence College invites applications for a tenure-trackassistant professorship in post-1945 United States historybeginning in the fall of 2027. Given our existing strengths inAfrican American, urban, and labor history, we especially welcomeapplications from candidates who will expand our department'sofferings with specializations in gender history, public history,history of science & technology, and/or environmental history.We also welcome applications from candidates with an interest indigital humanities.

Salary for this position is between $69,000-$79,000.
