Marshall University (School of Medicine) seeks an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology to provide evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with known or suspected gastroenterological disorders in ambulatory practice at School of Medicine affiliated clinic locations and for inpatients at affiliated hospitals as assigned on a rotational basis. The position is peripatetic in nature and may require travel on an “as needed” basis. Position will participate in after-hours on call coverage rotations, participate in clinical practice/teaching opportunities with medical students and residents, and initiate and complete clinical research with medical students and residents as part of their scholarly activities.

Location MUSOM - Marshall University School of Medicine Salary Range Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Medical degree or foreign equivalent.

Experience

  • Must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology.
  • Must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Must have a full and unrestricted West Virginia medical license at time of employment.
