Job summary
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston invites applications for a Gastroenterologist at the Assistant Professor level to join our academic faculty. The successful candidate will deliver patient care across endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures, outpatient clinics, and inpatient services, in a collaborative environment.
They will contribute to clinical research and education of fellows, residents, and trainees, working with multidisciplinary teams within the department of
Qualifications
- Doctorate-level degree appropriate to the faculty role and department mission.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
- Board certified in Internal Medicine.
- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- At least two years of experience as an Instructor or five years of post-degree experience through a combination of clinical gastroenterology practice, gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, fellowship, or GME training.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care across endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures, outpatient clinics, and inpatient services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across MD Anderson.
- Contribute to clinical research and education of fellows, residents, and other trainees.
