Job summary

The Carthage College Department of Education invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Education. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible contract (non-tenure) position designed to support and expand innovative teacher preparation pathways, with emphasis on interdisciplinary licensure expertise and serving diverse populations.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and graduate courses in a hyflex format, contribute to program design, and engage in departmental service

Qualifications

• PhD or EdD in Education, or substantial related experience.
• Expertise in licensure areas such as CCSE, BL/BC, or Early Childhood.
• P–12 teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Teach general education courses for all education students.
• Teach graduate courses in hyflex synchronous/asynchronous format.
• Lead or contribute to program innovation in high-need areas.
• Participate in departmental service and program leadership.
