Position: Assistant Professor of Consumer Affairs

Salary Range: The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary is $6,221 to $13,224/per month (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $7,200 to $7,800/per month. Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The College of Health & Human Services has 11 departments, including three clinical programs (Nursing, Physical Therapy, & Speech Language Pathology). We have 21 bachelor's degree programs, 22 master’s degrees, and three doctoral programs. We have over 8,000 students with the largest number of graduate students in the university (above 2200). We have over 2,200 affiliation agreements with community partners, including hospitals, clinical and internship sites.
The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) in the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Long Beach, is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Consumer Affairs. The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) offers degree programs for undergraduate and graduate candidates that prepare students to work in a variety of fields including: child and family studies, consumer affairs, family life education, fashion design, fashion merchandising, food science, nutrition and dietetics, gerontology, and hospitality management.
