Job summary
The University of Chicago's Department of Computer Science in the Physical Sciences Division invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Robotics, AI, and Systems Architecture/Quantum Systems. We seek candidates who will establish a vigorous research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and mentor students in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Review of applications will begin Oct 12, 2026; salary range is $135,000-$170,000 for a nine-month
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field by the appointment is required.
- Strong research program in CS/AI/Robotics or related fields.
- Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead an autonomous research program with published results.
- Teach and mentor students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Contribute to department, university, and interdisciplinary initiatives in AI and systems.
