Job description

The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of colorectal surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must also be certified by both the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction and supervision of medical students, surgery residents and colorectal surgery fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include care for patients presenting with colorectal concerns.

This position will be housed at Pennsylvania Hospital, the Nation’s Oldest Hospital and full member institution of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. The successful candidate may also see patients at satellite locations.
