Description:
The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Neurology with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology and have some additional training/experience in Cognitive/Behavioral Neurology.
Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as graduate students, both in research and clinical Neurology.
Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation of patients in the Penn Memory Center/Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, including evaluation of those being evaluated for anti-amyloid or other emerging therapies.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include further development of a richly integrated clinical research program with particular focus on imaging and biomarker studies of patients receiving FDA-approved disease modifying therapies, as well as participation in the research of our NIA-funded Penn Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and clinical trial program.
