Position Details

The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) are seeking a part-time faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Emergency and Transport Medicine, for the role of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator).

Responsibilities

1. Provide clinical care in the Pediatric Emergency Department, which handles a wide spectrum of diseases and injuries.
2. Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, including involvement in multiple rotating programs.
3. Engage in research activities, including participation in a Point-of-Care Ultrasound fellowship and educational programs for residents and fellows.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, translators, and child-life specialists.

About CHLA

CHLA is a 347-bed tertiary care and referral center, designated as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, serving approximately 96,000 patients annually, with an Emergency Transport Program that manages about 3,000 transports yearly.
