We are seeking candidates with expertise in Biofabrication (including, but not limited to, additive manufacturing, tissue engineering, and/or biomaterials), with demonstrated enthusiasm and experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduates and an ability to teach effectively at all levels of the curriculum. It is expected that the applicant will also be able to contribute to the College's Integrative Engineering program's focus area of bioengineering (https://inte.lafayette.edu/). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or closely related field. Lafayette College, located within 70 miles of both New York City and Philadelphia, is a nationally recognized leader in undergraduate engineering education. The program offers students a superior education in engineering and the liberal arts. This educational experience is accomplished by focusing on excellence in teaching, placing strong emphasis on student-faculty interaction, and by providing opportunities for students to take courses in a wide number of disciplines, study abroad, engage in research, and participate in hands-on design projects. Faculty members teach the equivalent of four courses in their first year and five courses per year thereafter. This tenure-track position provides a unique opportunity to mentor students at one of the nation's highly-ranked undergraduate-only institutions offering ABET-accredited engineering degrees. Further information about the department can be found at http://che.lafayette.edu/.

In addition to four discipline-specific B.S. engineering programs and an A.B. engineering studies program, Lafayette offers a B.S. interdisciplinary engineering program (Integrative Engineering) that enables students to develop expertise and skills in systems methods and apply those skills in areas of robotics, bioengineering, environment, and energy. The faculty in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering play a vital role in offering and maintaining this interdisciplinary program.
