Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

With over 3000 students, the Mechanical Engineering department at SPCEET is the largest in the college and ranks among the largest in the nation. It offers undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, an MS in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with a preferred start date of August 2027. This is a nine-month contracted position and is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate aerospace engineering courses.
  • Developing and maintaining an active and externally funded research program.
  • Engaging in department, college, university and professional services appropriate to the position.
  • Advancing the goals and strategic plan of KSU.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • An earned Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in aerospace engineering or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
