Assistant Professor/Non-Tenure Track Appointment (NTTA)/Chairperson Department of Educational Leadership, Technology and Administration College of Education, Information and Technology

LIU Post LIU is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor/Chairperson position in the Department of Educational Leadership, Technology and Administration in the College of Education, Information and Technology. Basic responsibilities include teaching and advising graduate students in the Ed.D. In Transformational Leadership program, the Educational Leadership program, and the School District Business Leader program at the LIU Post and satellite campuses. Additionally, the Chairperson is responsible for developing departmental recommendations on major programs, curriculum and assessment; for recommending, those deemed eligible for appointment, reappointment, promotion, tenure, and leaves in accordance with procedures, preparing budgets and planning schedules, and expediting the routine business of the department.

Principal Responsibilities
• Teaching in the Ed.D. In Transformational Leadership program, and Educational Leadership program, and the School District Business Leader program at the LIU Post and satellite campuses.
• Ongoing mentoring and advising graduate doctoral students and administration.
• Supervision of graduate student research and fieldwork experiences in the internship courses.
• Participation in curriculum improvement and departmental and university committee activity.
• Ensuring alignment with appropriate New York State Education Department and University regulations and protocols as well as applicable Accreditation Standards.
• Collaboration with other faculty to ensure continued success of these graduate programs.
• The chairperson is responsible for developing departmental recommendations on major programs and curriculum; for recommending, those deemed eligible for appointment, reappointment, promotion, tenure, and leaves in accordance with procedures, preparing budgets and planning schedules, leading protocols for student assessment and data analysis, and expediting the routine business of the department.

Education Requirements
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
• Earned Doctorate Ed.D. or Ph.D. from an Accredited University.
• Individuals who have taught in a university program.
• A record of successful experience in higher education and/or other educational environments with publication and grant writing experience preferred.
• Experience with educational policy development and implementation in higher ed and/or related state/or federal agencies.
• Knowledge of Brightspace or equivalent online instructional software preferred.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent start-up package, benefits, and research support.
