The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is recruiting a non-invasive Cardiologist. The position will have a clinical and cardiac imaging focus within our Academic Practice at Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin (FMCW).
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our prestigious academic practice dedicated to excellence in cardiovascular care, research, and education. As a Non-Invasive Cardiologist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions using cutting-edge non-invasive techniques. Your contributions will significantly impact patient care, research advancements, and the education of future cardiologists. Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to a combination of inpatient, outpatient care and diagnostic imaging with dedicated echocardiography, Cardiac MR, and Cardiac CT imaging time, as well as ample opportunity for teaching and research.

The Medical College of Wisconsin is one of only two Medical Schools in Wisconsin and in partnership with Froedtert Hospital and the Froedtert Health System and Medical College Physicians, with more than 1,250 physicians serve Milwaukee and Southeast Wisconsin.
Our academic practice consists of over 60 cardiologists, backed by cutting-edge equipment and modern facilities. Within the division of cardiovascular medicine, all the essential resources are readily available to carry out a comprehensive range of coronary and structural interventions. These encompass procedures such as complex coronary intervention, transcatheter valve replacement, as well as edge-to-edge repair for both mitral and tricuspid valves.
We have a vibrant Advanced Heart Failure program, showcasing a consistent upswing in the volume of heart transplants and placements of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). To bolster this, we've established a formal MCS (Mechanical Circulatory Support), ECMO, and Shock team. This expert team is dedicated to promptly receiving and managing the transfer of critically ill patients to our advanced quaternary care center.
Our EP (Electrophysiology) program provides the pinnacle of care, spanning a broad spectrum of services. This includes procedures like complex arrhythmia ablations, laser lead extractions, and closure of the left atrial appendage. Alongside these specialized interventions, we also deliver routine EP care to meet diverse patient needs.
In the realm of imaging, our section is tasked with interpreting complex studies across various modalities, such as cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and cardiac PET. Furthermore, our imaging experts play an integral role in our structural heart program. They perform and analyze both transthoracic and transesophageal studies of a complex nature.
Beyond these capabilities, our partnership with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin has given rise to a robust adult congenital heart disease program. This collaboration ensures comprehensive and coordinated care across all age groups.
Patient Care: Clinical activities will be primarily focused on clinic and hospital coverage at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI (largest hospital in the state) and cardiac imaging (CMR, Cardiac CT, nuclear and/or echocardiography).
Research, Teaching, and Scholarly Activities: Opportunities for teaching and research exist with dedicated 20% academic time.
Administration/Service: The candidate will be expected to participate actively in multi-disciplinary conferences organized by the Division.
