Job Description Summary: The University of Kansas Health System Olathe Campus and the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center seek an academic spine surgeon to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with a broad range of spinal conditions. The Olathe campus offers dedicated spine services within a multidisciplinary environment, allowing neurosurgeons to collaborate closely with orthopedic spine surgeons, neurologists, pain management specialists, rehabilitation providers, radiologists and other specialists.

Job Duties Outlined
  • Actively participate in the teaching of Neurosurgery to clinical staff, medical students and residents including didactic lectures, shadowing experiences, inclusion on service activities, or involvement in research activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, research groups, academic programs, and institutional partners to support patient care, program development, innovation, and scholarly activity.
  • Dedicate 90% of time to active clinical practice in the Neurosurgery Department.
  • Serve on Neurosurgery departmental committees.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: MD, DO or equivalent.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Board-eligible/ board-certified Neurosurgery.
  • Eligible medical license in KS.
