Job summary

Carleton College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Neuroscience Program to begin September 1, 2027. PhD in neuroscience or related field preferred, especially with electrophysiology expertise.

Responsibilities include Foundations in Neuroscience teaching with labs, an upper-level Neurobiology course with lab, and a domain-specific seminar. Teaching load is five courses across three 10-week terms per year.

• PhD in Neuroscience or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Foundations in Neuroscience with accompanying laboratory.
• Teach an upper-level Neurobiology course with accompanying laboratory.
• Lead a seminar in the candidate's area of expertise.
• Maintain a five-course teaching load spread over three 10-week terms per year.
• Develop an active undergraduate research program with Carleton undergraduates.
