An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Neurologist to provide acute endovascular coverage and Vascular Neurology services. This role involves a blend of inpatient responsibilities and outpatient clinics, ensuring comprehensive care for patients undergoing vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will hold an MD or equivalent, with board certification in Neurology and preferably a fellowship in Vascular Neurology. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Position will provide up to 26 weeks (24/7) of acute endovascular coverage for participating UTMB facilities. Additionally, position will provide inpatient Vascular Neurology service in coordination with Vascular Neurology colleagues. It is anticipated the responsibility will be approximately 13 weeks per year, depending on the complement of Vascular Neurology faculty. There will likely be the opportunity to overlap some endovascular coverage with vascular neurology service. During the weeks faculty is not on clinical service, they will conduct 4 outpatient clinics focusing on Vascular Neurology and pre/post endovascular patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MD or equivalent and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of Vascular Neurology Fellowship.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
