This position is aimed at expanding the college's footprint in emerging technologies. We seek candidates whose research and teaching expertise focus on the mathematics of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. A primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to play a leading role in designing and developing a new Artificial Intelligence curriculum - including a certificate, minor, and major in collaboration with faculty across disciplines.

However, regardless of their specific mathematical sub-discipline, the successful candidate must demonstrate the capacity and computational background to develop and teach core undergraduate courses in artificial intelligence and machine learning. The faculty member will also share responsibility for committee and department assignments, including administrative, supervisory, and other functions as needed.
