Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Jazz Performance or closely related area by appointment.
• Evidence of excellence in research and teaching in jazz.

Responsibilities

• Pursue innovative and independent research and establish an externally funded program.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate jazz courses including ensembles and lessons; supervise jazz students at masters and doctoral levels.
